My cousin sent me to Susan, because Susan had helped her sell her home as a short sale. I was somewhat familiar with the process because I had worked with another agent to short sell my house, but we didn’t get any offers. I took my home off the market for awhile because I thought things at home were going to work out after all. But they didn’t. When I learned about Susan, the bank was trying to get me to do a “Deed in Lieu” of foreclosure. They made it sound like it was going to solve all my problems, and I just needed an agent to list the property for me. Susan didn’t tell me not to pursue the Deed in Lieu, but she did suggest I do some research about it. When I did, I found out it was going to be a better deal for the bank than it was for me. It was just going to show up on my credit report like a foreclosure. So I asked Susan to list my house as a short sale for me. Am I glad I did! My bank was really hard to work with, and our buyer was using city funds to purchase the home, which made everything take longer and even more complicated. But Susan got it all done for me, and now I’m renting a home and saving up for my next home purchase. When I get ready to buy a new home, Susan is going to help me buy it. - Carolyn B.

Susan was sent to me by one of the agents in her office. This was my first time to sell a home. Susan kept me so well educated that I was able to feel in control of the sales process and from that position, advise her of what we wanted to do as we went along. She told me that the short sale was going to be a roller coaster ride, and it was! Some unexpected things came up. We also had a series of multiple offers on the property. Susan worked very hard with us and with our lender to make sure we did not get foreclosed on, and it all worked out great! - Steven B.

I was going through a lot of personal hardships when Susan came along. My husband had a long illness. Then we ended up getting a divorce. I lost my job. I’d tried renting my house to some other people, but the market wouldn’t bear enough to cover my mortgage. I got further and further behind. The first time I talked with Susan, I knew she was the one to help me. I’m glad we started when we did! Even though I had an FHA loan and was pre-qualified into the short sale program, our first buyer changed their mind during their option period. A couple of weeks passed and we got a second buyer and put the house under contract. They were pre-approved for a loan, but the week of closing, we found out that the wife who was buying the property was not going to get her job in Austin after all. So that offer fell through. We were just about two weeks away from foreclosure when we got the third and final offer…and we closed! I am so grateful to be out from under that burden! Susan was a great coach, confident and friend to me! - LaShawna M.

When I met Susan, I owned a home in Texas but I had moved to California because I had gotten married. Owing a home in Texas and living in California was becoming very stressful for my family. I tried renting out the property, but the money wasn’t enough to cover my mortgage. I could not work because I had a high risk pregnancy. Needless to say we started falling behind on our house payment in Texas. We began to pray for a solution. Through the grace of God, I got a postcard about short sales in the mail and it had Susan's name. I took that as a sign that God had answered my prayers by sending an angel to help us through this hard and really painful time. I loved my home and did not want to give it up but there was no choice. Susan came through for me and my family. We had a last-minute surprise, where it looked like I was going to have to bring a lot of money to closing. But Susan worked with the lender to make that go away, and she got the house sold before it went to foreclosure. She is a great person and a great agent! I know that if you need her to work a miracle for you she can do it! - Angela D.

I did not have any experience with selling a house. Susan helped me with each step. I could not have made it without Susan. She made all the phone calls to the mortgage company. She kept me informed by calling and emailing me with updates. She would meet me with paperwork and explain it to me.
I appreciated her making the phone calls because sometimes you would be on hold for long period of time, and I could not do it because I had to be at work.
Susan will work her hardest to make sure your house be sold. She will not give up. I think Susan is very trustworthy. She will be look out for your best interests. I plan to ask her to help me buy another house when we’re ready.
- Angelique M.

Selling my home was a very emotional experience for me. My husband and I had recently divorced, and I was under a lot of stress with medical needs. Probably the most difficult part was going to closing and finding out from the attorney that my divorce was still pending, when I’d thought it was final. Susan was very supportive and understanding. With her and the title company’s help, we were able to track down my ex overnight to get him to sign some papers so that I could be released from my home before it went to foreclosure. I am so glad to have all of that behind me now and to get a fresh start in life! - Mary
